We visited Passo Tonale on 3rd February 24 and had a great ski holiday. We stayed at the Grand Hotel Paradiso that is right on the pistes and enjoys fabulous views of the slopes. We booked the holiday with Crystal Ski. They looked after us very well with east airport transfers and the travel arrangements went very smoothly. I’d recommend that you book a Deluxe room, it really is worth the extra few pounds.
The Passo ski resort benefits from having 3 distinct ski areas. The Presena Glacier, Passo Tonale itself and a smaller but tree lined area called Ponte Di Legno / Temu. All 3 ski areas are very well connected and can be skied or accessed by very efficient gondolas.
The ski infrastructure was very good and the pistes were well prepared every night. The big advantage of Passo is the height elevation. Passo village is set at 1850m with skiing on the glacier up to 3000m so the resort is very snow sure, in early February we had 60cm at the bottom of the resort and 250cm at the top.
The nightlife in the resort was rather limited apart from night skiing on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
All in all, I’d thoroughly recommend the resort and the Grand hotel Paradiso in particular.
