Vidra Transalpina in Romania is a small ski resort with just 4 ski lifts (1 gondola, 1 chairlift, 2 surface lifts) but it does boast a very impressive 654 metres (2145 feet) of vertical descent. Vidra Transalpina has 7 pistes. Vidra Transalpina is best suited to beginner skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for intermediates but little of interest for expert skiers. We have no information about the existence of any cross country ski trails at Vidra Transalpina. Over half of the pistes at Vidra Transalpina are covered by snowmaking.

Awesome resort, I really like it; is not as crowded as other resorts. There are slopes for beginners as well as the pretty long red (intermediate) slope which is amazing. The view is probably the best in the world (well, at least Romania). Parking, renting and apres-ski are available on site. The cons (the road and accommodation nearby) are not because of the resort.
Next season they plan to extend it with new slopes. There are other plans as well, I just hope they keep up the good work.
Oh, you should come to meet Nur, the Samoyed dog which everyone loves! Just make sure it does not get your gloves... :D
