Grossarltal-Dorfgastein, in Austria (in the Salzburg region), is a ski resort with 17 lifts (5 cable cars, 8 chair lifts, 4 surface lifts) that offers an incredible 1173 metres (3848 feet) of vertical descent. Grossarltal-Dorfgastein has 494 acres of terrain over 14 pistes with a total length of 73 km. Grossarltal-Dorfgastein is best suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for beginners and advanced skiers. There are 25 kilometers of cross country ski trails at Grossarltal-Dorfgastein. For freestylers and snowboarders there is the Funslope Grossarltal. 90 % of the pistes at Grossarltal-Dorfgastein are covered by snow-making. The nearest airport is Salzburg.
