Cimone in Italy (in the Appennini region) is a large resort with 20 lifts (12 chair lifts, 7 surface lifts) that offers skiers an impressive 980 metres (3215 feet) of vertical descent. Cimone has 34 pistes with a total length of 50 kilometers (31 miles). Cimone is best suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for beginners and advanced skiers. There are 10 kilometers (6 miles) of cross country ski trails at Cimone. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park. Almost half of the pistes at Cimone are covered by snowmaking.
